Alex Budman is a commercial producer, videographer and photographer. She lives and works in Los Angeles.

A native of Toronto, Alex graduated from the University of St. Andrews with a BA in Film and Art History, and received an MFA in Social Documentary Filmmaking from the School of Visual Arts in New York City.

In high stress situations, Alex has been known to make a very realistic dolphin sound out of the side of her mouth, one that charms even the fussiest babies —a real asset when working with brands like Baby Bjorn. Also goes over great with dogs (see her work for the Standard hotel).

Alex began her career in production at the Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon, after which she joined Goop to establish their in-house video department.

In 2018, Alex established Short Stack Media in an attempt to make elevated snackable content more accessible and less predictable. If we're going to be addicted to our devices, Alex thinks, we might as well make crackling content that feels decidedly different. At Short Stack, she independently creates and produces multimedia content herself, from concept ideation to production and shooting through to final edits.

Past clients include Our Place, Baby Bjorn, SoulCycle, Uber Eats and Westfield and everything in between.
