Hector is a resident of B 96th street in Rockaway Beach. As a result of hurricane Sandy, four feet of water flooded into his basement apartment. A black line that stains the walls acts as a haunting reminder of the heights that the water reached. Other than loosing all of his furniture and electronics, Hector lost his Beanie Baby collection; one that spanned over 1,500. Most with tags in tacked. As Hector says good bye to his collection, it is time to focus on rebuilding the home that Sandy took away from him. Stay posted for the documentary ‘Beach 96th’ that will highlight Hectors road to recovery.
